Forza Horizon 3: My Zonda
Last year for Christmas I was gifted the only thing on my list; Forza Horizon 3. I had purchased a Xbox One a few weeks prior and was saving up to get the game myself. I was beyond excited when it finally downloaded. I had the Ultimate Edition, and because I had both other Horizon games and had played a few other Forza games on my account I had a good amount of cash to start with. The first thing I did was buy a hand full of cars, pretty much the same cars I always buy when I start a new game; usually a R33 or R34 GTR, a Supra, and Subaru. (I normally also buy a RX-7, they are my fav) Due to the money burning a hole in my pocket, I decided I would buy something really expensive. After Japan, Italy, in my opinion, makes the best looking cars in general. So I flipped through and found my favirot Italian car maker, Pagani
Since I first started watching Top Gear, I fell in love with every car Pagani has built. So I went straight to my favorite Italian car ever built. The Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster. The topless version of the normal Chinque, (Five in Italian, because only five were built) obscenley rare and arguably the best car ever built. For $2million, you got a 670 horsepower, 3.4 second 0-60 time T-top beast of a car. A dream come true.
I bought it as fast as I could, but shortly after realised I was playing more of an arcade game than anything else. A Lambo with 1,500 horsepower and massive wing on the back would spin tires at 160 miles per hour flying by you. So I bought the Lambo, and forgot I owned the Zonda.
Until yesterday, when I was flipping through the 420+ cars in my garage, I landed on it. It was red with black carbon fiber all over. I drove it for a little after checking to make sure it was stock, and not aimlessly upgraded. I decided I wanted to make it mine again. So I got looking online at real life Zondas, and I found the prettiest one yet. Made in 2016, the Zonda Oliver Edition, made for some spoiled brat who is only nine years as a birthday present. Whoever specd that car knew what they were doing. Matte grey with glossy carbon fiber and a huge, two part wing in the back, will see exactly zero miles until the boy turns 18 in nine more years, when he will most likely crash it in a few hours.
The real Oliver Edition
I started looking in Forza to see if someone had made a design for the car I could use, but it soon became obvious that there wasn't one, and I was going to have to make it myself. I spent the next few hours deciding how I was going to go about this. I couldn't make the carbon glossy and the decals matte, so I decided on making the whole car matte. I wanted to make it look as close to the real car as I could, but the workshop in the game is difficult so I can't add carbon fiber accents of make parts gloss and others carbon, so matte black was going to be used as carbon on the outside where the accents would be on the real car.
One of the other things I couldn't do was give it the same wing as the real car. The real car has the biggest wing that I have ever seen on a Pagani, and it looks amazing. Unfortunately, you can't make your own parts in the game, I kept the original.
The last thing I couldn't change bothers me the least. The real car has a roof scoop that flows from just over the front wind screen all the way to the back becuase it's a hard top, and the car in the game is a soft top, so the roof scoop stops before the roof. I'm going to get some pictures. Until next time, Bye!
